Spring is in the air...well maybe?

It seems that spring may have finally arrived. However being a life long resident of Michigan I expect that we will see a week or two of addictional winter weather before the final break. I was out doing some running around today and for the first time this year, I had to put my window down because it was to hot and stuffy in my car. I enjoyed the smell of the spring air, it was surprisingly fragrant. I drove by the lake and took in the waves, under which the fish where jumping and smiled as I heard the sqwake of the birds. I saw for the first time this winter people without jackets or with light jackets as opposed to the bulky winter garb we are forced to don this time of year.

I have today enjoyed sitting at my desk with my window open, listening to the world outside and taking in the smells of springtime. This is the first time I've been able to do so for any extended time without recieveing a rebuke from either of my roomates because of the cold. ( which I understand completely of course) I cannot wait until I can take the time and do some fishing. To be alone with my thoughts, a bucket of worms and a pole. After spending a year in virtual hell I believe, such is the closest thing to paradise any of us will find. This side of the cosmic divide of course.
