Intellegent Design ...idiots
I must say that as a conservative republican, and further more as a christian. Iam insulted by the attempt by certain ultra-radical elements of the christian right to try to lambast the party into excepting the cock-eyed, illogical theory of "I.D." or Intellegent design. Recently school boards in at least two states have changed the criculum in there science classes to teach intellegent design.
Now as a christian and a conservative I believe in the teachings of the bible. I believe in creationism, i also beleive that God created the rules that govern the univers and the rules of science. Therefore it is very possible that God placed into effect the idea of "natural selection" you see I believe unlike many christians that God is a rational logical being that he loved us so much he would not just create a superficial world for us. No he created a complete world, one with laws of science and nature. He didn't just create water out of nothing he created protons and electrons, then atoms, then atoms of Hydrogen, then atoms of Oxygen, then he; having created the rules that govern chemistry likely place two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen to get water.
You see the reason that we teach evolution in science classes is because there is some scientific evidence of its exsistance. There is no evidence of creationism ( thats where faith comes in) to teach in a science class a theory that has no scientific proof is intellectual dishonest. It would be like teaching that the world is flat, to spite that fact that no scientific evidence exisits to support that theory.
As I have said as a christian I believe in creationism but as a logical human being I cannot have my children taught that as a scientific fact in school. I am also upset that some members of my political party, have been duped into supporting this lame brained idea. I am rearly if ever happy to see Democrats win elections, however I was happy to see the people of Dover Pennslyvannia come to there senses and kick the idiots out of office.
